Debbie Torres

Debbie started flying in 1978 at a small, grass crop duster's strip in Pitman, NJ. She earned her Private SEL in September 1978 and flew until 1982, when she married and had children. She resumed flying and bought a C172 in 1990 while her husband was deployed, surprising him with his first lesson on return. In addition, Debbie holds a Commercial Remote pilot license and Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) license. She has been a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol for the past 33 years. She has a Masters of Aeronautical Sciences from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. This awesome lady was inducted into the El Paso Aviation Association Hall of Fame in November 2012 for her contribution to aviation in the El Paso area. We are lucky to have her!
